HexEnergy Ltd underfloor heating systems offer a bespoke design service using full colour AutoCAD for each project at no extra cost and can cover everything from preliminary discussions, through to computer generated heat loss calculations to final installation by our own trained staff. A zone drawing indicating the manifold positions, floor sections and pipe layout is provided with an estimate of the total cost of the project.
Manifolds are underfloor heating distribution units at the centre of the underfloor heating system.
All the pipes are connected to the manifold and the water flow and return is taken from the manifold back to the heat source of the building. Below you will find a list of our manifolds with a description for each.
Multi-layer pipe for heating systems only, made from a 5 layer composite material using PE-RT as the inner and outer layers coupled with a 0.2 mm thick aluminium core with butt welded construction. Maximum operating pressure 10bar; maximum operating temperature 70°C.
Five Layer barrier pipe with outer layer of PE, EVOH oxygen barrier with outer and inner adhesive layer, and PE-Xb inner layer
Suitable for use in general heating applications, maximum temperature 95°C, 6 bar maximum pressure.
Getting the best from an underfloor heating system involves having the correct control system
Today it is widely accepted that controls form a necessary part of any heating system. Apart from the need to be comfortable and the convenience that a well controlled system brings, rising fuel prices make it essential that heating systems are well-controlled to ensure maximum economy.
These requirements are also now built into the legal framework that all dwellings, whether new or existing must comply with The Building Regulations and the guidance documents issued to support them (e.g. the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide) now offer clear instructions for the zoning of underfloor heating and the necessity for time and temperature controls to provide a comfortable, economically run home or commercial environment.
